Tips for your sightseeing
The Hotel lies at the edge of the small village of Reil, with its quaint narrow streets and traditional German half timbered houses. Here you can take a stroll along the river promenade, or through its quiet streets with their little bars and cafes, where you can sample the local wines, take longer walks through the local woods with their extensive river views, or hire bicycles and ride along the numerous cycle ways.
A little wider afield, you can visit historic Romanesque and Baroque churches, faery tale hill top castles, spas and mineral baths, idyllic medieval villages steeped in art and history, the Roman remains and the Cathedral of Trier; Reil even has its own railway station with connections to Cochem, Traben-Trarbach, Trier and beyond; or if you prefer, simply relax and take a river cruise – the landing jetty is only 50 metres from the hotel entrance!
